Surprises Part 2

Monday
Well we cleaned the apartment. Then we went out to work. Later, we met up with other elders because president and the assistants really needed to talk to us. I was worried that something bad had happened at home. So then I got to talk with president. Turns out one of the people that was training was having a really hard time, so they needed to do an emerency transfer to fix. He asked me if I would be willing to do that. I guess I did not really consider it a question and I said yeah. So we had transfers a week after transfers. So Campbell and I went back to the apartment and we packed up and cleaned a little more and we tried to wrap our minds around all the changes that president had just made to accomodate everyone. It was a pretty crazy night. I guess you are just never ready for life, but it keeps going no matter where you are at.
Tuesday
So we had to take all of Campbells stuff to the other apartment, so we did that in the morning. Then we had district meeting. I asked the zone leaders to do it because I was feeling kind of stressed out. So that was nice of them to help. Then we went to the terminal and I got my new companion. He is Elder Clark. He has been in the field for one week. He is from Montana, and he really speaks Spanish well and loves the mission. So we went and worked and did all that stuff. It went pretty well. It is just a never ending rollercoaster. And I am definitely turning into one of those people who just likes to see the extreme of what I can talk other people into to doing and that is how I got the 4 of us missionaries who were coming back from the terminal to cram into the back of a tiny little argentine taxi. That was funny.
Wednesday
It was not the most eventful day. It was a good one though. While I will admit that training is stressful, it is really helping me to like the mission more. So this day, we got kind of lost trying to find a house and that was rough. So we did a couple contancts and then we visited a less active member that is like a 16 year old girl with health problems, so we gave her a blessing and that was cool. Then we had lunch with the Juarez family. Jose Juarez has been waiting like a year to get baptized and it is all finishing up and so that will be great when he finishes up. Also we later visited our convert Graciela. And later we had ward council. It is nice to be in a high functioning ward again haha.
Thursday
Today was nice too. We planned for the week. Classic thursday in the mish. So that was the morning and then we went to lunch. Then we went back and did some more studying and training. Then we went out and spread the gospel. It was pretty good. We are not having a ton of rapid progress, but I think we will start having more of that. Elder Clark is already super good at spanish and really excited about the mission. Also he has seen lots of the same movies and shows that I have, so that helps a lot.
Friday
We had an activity in the church. It was Locro Day. I hope to have a picture of it so you all can know what I have put in my body for the last year. I am still yet to know what all exactly is put in there. I do not even like it haha. So it was a really fun activity, there was soccer and ping pong and food and all sorts of teenagers playing on their phones who later joined in doing fun real life things. It was really great. We played many argentine games, and as I am sure you can imagine, some of them did not make sense. They were still fun. Then we worked a little and found some people who I am really hoping will progress. We will see.
Saturday
In the morning we fought against scary argentine death thorn plants to do service for a sister here. I never knew that lemon trees would want to hurt me. So we pruned that stuff for like 2 hours. It was nice to do life things for awhile. Then the sister made us hot chocolate and like a banana bread type food thing that was really good. It was the best breakfast I have had in Argentina. Then we taught some people and ate lunch and taught more people. Then we ate a delicious sandwich. It was a nice day.
Sunday
It was peaceful. Not really any crazy stories to share. We just went and visited less active members and stuff like that. It was a nice end to a rather wild chain of events. It has been good though.

So yeah these have probably been 2 of the craziest weeks ever and I am ready for a less crazy week. We will see. We are working hard and getting better every day so we will see where that gets us. Entonces se que la vida tiene muchas sorpresas para nosotros pero se que también Dios sabe lo que esta haciendo y que el tiene un gran propósito para nosotros. Se que podremos hacer lo que Dios quiere que hagamos, ni importa lo que sea.

So yup that is this week. Love you guys!!

Esto me paso mes 11 en tucuman

Monday
So we didnt do that much for pday. We went downtown and ate some calzones that were a little bit spicy. My district got changed so now the zone leaders are in it. That is going to be interesting. So today we worked, we taught some people and it went well. It was a little crazy, but I dont have any  big stories about it.
Tuesday
It was a good day. We had a district meeting in the morning. The new district is doing pretty well. So far at least. It will be fine I think. Other than that, we found a new person and she is super receptive and wanted us to come back to her house, so that is always a fun surprise to hear. It will be a really good time I think. Oh and after like a week of not having power, we went to the office of the power company and told them to fix it. So they fixed it. No more showering in the dark! Woo! And yeah that is pretty much it.
Wednesday
Well not much went down today. It is super cold here. So cold. Most of the people were just asleep. I wished I was asleep haha. But it was cool. We got to visit some cool people and have the ward council and stuff. This ward is pretty great. There are some awesome people that are progressing too. There is this one 22 year old girl named Jessica that Elder Batman baptized that reactivated and now is trying to leave on a mission, so we are trying to help her too. So that is fun. Also we are visiting a man named Jose Juarez that has been waiting almost a year to get baptized. He was waiting for his divorce stuff to finish up, and it is pretty much done, so hopefully he will be able to get that all done. Also argentine families are complicated. That is all I am going to say haha.
Thursday
Well we did splits with some other elders. I went with Elder Ferrin to Villa Urquiza. We walked around in the dark and cold trying to talk to people. That did not really work. But at least he is really funny. So it was a decent time. That is about it.
Friday
So we ended the divisions and went to lunch and had a good time with the members there in lunch. Then the fun stuff happened. We went out to work. Like 2 minutes after leaving the pension this guy waves us over. This happens a lot in Argentina. He was super sketchy, but he said he had a buddy that needed Jesus, so naturally we had to talk with him. He then lead us to the corner where he started waiting for his friend. Turns out he didnt have a friend and that he just wanted to rob us. So that is the story of how we lost our cell phone and 5 pesos. Yeah. That was not fun. But after at least we got to teach a super cool lesson. We had a family home evening with some cool investigators and it was awesome. We got to talk about faith and change. It was a really great lesson.
Saturday
Well saturday was an interesting one. One of our best investigators that was progressing really well told us not to come back. That was pretty sad. She had read the Book of Mormon a ton and had gone to church twice and then she just did not want anything else. It is really sad because we know that she felt the spirit. Hopefully, in the future, she will come around. On the bright side, we were able to find this less active member that speaks english. He was really cool and wants to return to church, so we will be trying to help him out. He is awesome because he lived in America so he just understands us haha.
Sunday
Well sunday was fine. We went to church and we had some investigators there. It was a peaceful day. Nothing too crazy.

So yeah that was this week. I dont have any pictures because I no longer carry things of value on my person. I will try harder next week haha. Bien ahi. Amo mi salvador.

Alright see you guys later!

Mission Things

Monday- so we went to McDonalds and ate a ton of food. It was really awesome. We probably ordered like 3 times each haha. I miss America. And after that we walked around downtown for awhile and saw probably every missionary there is in Tucuman, so that was interesting. Then we got back and cleaned the apartment a little and got ready to work again for the week. Then we left to work, and that was where it got fun. At first, we just went around to a bunch of people that we are trying to teach. They were all really ´busy´so we could not teach them. We did that for like an hour and a half, maybe two hours. Then we went to visit a guy that my comp found during divisions. So we went there to do that. We clapped our hands outside, this guy sees us, grabs the Book of Mormon he had and rushes to come out and tell us why it is not true. So that was fun. It was even more fun because my comp got confused and told the guy that we support the iluminati on accident. So we got that book back. lol So that was a fun monday. The rest of the week went by pretty fast. I did divisions with Elder Ferrin. He is cool. A normal guy at least. We had some fun and taught some people and it was good. Other than that we had a baptism like in the photos that i sent. It was nice. Then we got to call the fam, and that was nice. And I am kind of out of experiences to share since I did that yesterday. I dont really have much new stuff to say. But yeah I am still doing mission things and life things and that is the important part I guess. So yeah haha. See you all next week!

This Week in Argentina

Well fam, it has been another week here in Argentina. One week less haha. But it is cool. This week has been good, even though I have been sick for most of it. But I guess that is cool. My comp has not really believed me about it, so that has been an awesome part of the process. I think God knows that I am not really capable of surviving more than 6 straight weeks of one person at a time because He has changed my comp every transfer except my training. So other than this comp who only has one transfer less than me and doesn{t know much spanish, it has been a really cool week. We have some pretty cool investigators and there are some members that are pretty good too. Also I did divisions with Elder Rich. That was fun, he reminds me a lot of my dad haha. He is going home next transfer and he is kinda ready to go. So am I haha. But it was nice, I got to talk to him a lot about what his mission has been like and what he has learned from it and all that kind of stuff. And so yeah, we had four investigators come. It was really good. They all had pretty good experiences and they are progressing pretty well. Next week, we will be baptizing one of them and that will be nice. But it is good. I am learning a lot from the mission and there really is no other experience like it.

Bueno esta semana ha sido interesante pero asi pasa a veces no? pero esta bien, no hay prueba en frente de nosotros que tiene mas poder que nuestro Dios. Si seguimos y confiamos, todo es posible. Les quiero, nos vemos!
