Hey All!!!

Hey all! so this was my first week as senior comp. And that was interesting. Besides still being lost in my area sometimes, I think it went pretty well. We had a baptism, and we found some new people and we had a good week. My new comp likes to work a lot, so that is good too. And we have some of my old friends from the mission in my zone, so it is a good time! Dont really have anything too new to tell everybody. I cut down this tree with an ax. Well a few branches, and we are going to pretend that I had a support cable so that my mom can sleep at night, so mom I did have a support cable. We had the baptism of Florencia and it was awesome. Her husband Facundo baptized her and it was an awesome experience. Other than that we are still looking for our next chosen person, but I am sure they will turn up soon. It always seems to happen like that. Umm yeah so that is about it.

Well I hope you guys are all doing well! I am doing a lot better now. It is nice to decide what to do, and have a comp that is helpful, so I made it through that storm.

Love you guys! Have a great week!

Well I Made it Through That

Well, everybody that was one of the craziest weeks of my life. So like I was saying, there I was in a trio with two dudes from Uruguay, and it was ok. I did not like my comp that much, so having a third person there to talk helped us out. But his area was also preparing two baptisms, so we did not get to work like at all in our area. It was wild. We went and took a bike from some other companionship of missionaries and biked like crazy people all over Argentina. It was ok, I have never been a bike dude and I never will be. Especially here where everybody likes to drive right next to you. It can be quite the adventure. So we basically did that for a week. Biked and taught and biked and taught and biked and taught. Luckily the week passed by pretty quickly. We got to Sunday, and we are preparing a woman named Florencia for her baptism this Saturday. So she is going to be ready, and she is not already a member, so that is a bonus. It is going to be awesome. Also we are trying to teach this 9 year old girl so that she can get baptized, but the parents have problems, and sometimes they are not home. But it is cool. And as for Nestor, well we found his other official member document from Tierra de Fuego, so he was totally already a member, but nobody really knows what to do about it for now because he keeps denying that he knew anything about the church before he met us. So that is fun. We will see where that gets us. Not sure how it is all going to go down, but we will see I guess. So then, we are with this other dude, and he is a zone leader, so we got to help a little with transfers. It was crazy, but good news! They are reopening Parque Guillermina!!!!! Ah this made me so happy because that area is so cool and the people there are awesome. Ah so great. And also my companion left the area, he got transferred to Tucuman as a zone leader, and I am staying here, but I am senior comp now, so that is going to be an adventure. We will see what kind of crazy things God gives me now that I have more responsibility. It is going to be interesting, I know that much.
As for cool stories from this week, I only have one that was from last Sunday. We went out to try and visit a bunch of people, and nobody was home. We tried to visit this older sister that lives alone, so we went and nobody answered, and that was how Sunday went. Then we had a crazy Monday, and I went to her house again with a different elder, and she was there and she needed a blessing of health and tried hard to attend to us on Sunday, but was unable to. So we got to help her out and it was just a sprinkle of proof that God is working through us.
Not gonna lie, this week, and the transfer that just ended, were not my favorite times of the mission. I thought about just like ditching my comp, or ditching both these dudes and just walking away from it all. It would have been pretty easy considering the fact that the bikes broke a ton, but I did not quit. And from this experience I was able to see again that trials are long to endure, but also quick to end, and also that they are necessary so that we can grow. It was not an easy time, but I learned a lot, and I got through, and now things are going to be better. I think. We will see haha. But I am just going to trust God and His plan, try my best to do His will, and be myself, and I know the rest of it will all take its course.

Have a great week everybody!!!!!!!!!!

Crazy Story

Well fun story everybody, so we just got a call that this guy who we baptized was already a member for 20 years. That means that he lied to us and to everybody and that everything just kind of sucks now. so that is awesome.

Week of Crazy Changes

Well this week was pretty fast, and I do not remember most of it to be honest. Well we figured out that this Nestor guy is just an awesome stud who is ready to be baptized, and it is going to happen this Saturday so that is some exciting news. And with Guillermo we will probably need a little more time because this dude has some problems but it is all good, we all have problems.

So this week we had some interesting situations because we had divisions so I went with Elder Rojas for a day or so and it was fun, but I had to do all the things, so that was interesting. I know the spirit helped me through it all. We have met some pretty interesting people out here during these adventures. A lot of people and a lot of crazy stories. These drunk guys were playing with a tazer and probably wanted to rob us but when they asked us to stop and talk to them we were just like, eh no thanks we gotta go, and we left. So I still havent been robbed or anything so that is awesome. And yesterday we met some more people too that we will probably end up teaching later too. We met this one guy who was drunk in his house and saw me and ran out to speak to me in English, he surprisingly knew a lot of english. His name is Daniel Calle, but he likes to be called Dani Street better, so my boy Dani street ran out of his house to talk some English with me, and wanted to change his life, so we wrote his address down and we surely will visit him soon.

Today we had an interesting time too. All the missionaries that are leaders had to travel to Salta to have this meeting with the Mission President, so we will see what comes of that, but for two days I just get to go to a different area with Matthew Brady, a dude I met on trek, and some other missionaries that I know, so that will be nice. It has been an interesting time with my companion, I dont really understand his plan for everything or the way he is, but I think we are getting better little by little. I dont know haha.

But cool, the mission is a pretty crazy thing. After talking with a lot of missionaries, I have come to the conclusion that even though we are here to teach and help all these people, that we receive more help and learn more than anybody else. The mission is really about you and Jesus. I have never been a perfect missionary, and I never will be, and that is ok. Jesus does not ask us to be perfect or to work miracles every day. He just asks us to give what we can and what we are to Him. The gospel is really simple in that sense. And the gospel is what helps us to be more than what we are. By understanding the teachings of Jesus, we learn to be more too. We learn to give what we are and to help the people around us. There is a really nice feeling of peace that this knowledge gives me. I dont know haha. It is just nice.

Love you guys!!!! Hope you have a wonderful week, and enjoy the snow!!!!! Ah I miss it!!!
