meu segundo filho

What is up errybody? Sorry i did not write a big email last week, i was on a solo journey in the offices because i did not have a companion for a few days because i was called to train another new missionary. So i was passed along in the offices hahaha. It was an adventure. So i am training. I am still in Santa Ana. It is good. My second son is Elder Anderson. He is from Richfield Utah. He is a stud. He is 19 and was in the Mexico MTC and we are already seeing lots of miracles. It is going to be a good transfer. While i was in the offices, i was given a book called member missionary work, and it is one of the most helpful books for the work that i have ever read. It puts lots of basic things that are really important into words and explains it really well. So if you have missionaries out in the field or are preparing one, you should probably get them that book. It is the best.

It is going pretty well down here. We are working pretty hard with 2 people right now. One is named Javier and he is 18 and has been to church a ton and knows that it is true. He just wants to talk to his family about being baptized, so we practiced a little with him, and we are going to see what result we get. Pray for him! We are also working with a guy named Martin. He is 25 and lives with his girlfriend. We are working on getting all the papers together so that he can get married. So those are our two people that are going well. Other than that we are working hard to find new people.

This week was better

Well the angels helped cure me. I peeled a lot. It was like snake skins. Good memories. Luckily we could work a lot more this week and it was ok. We are teaching lots of people, but i don't know how well they are receiving the message, so we will probably be looking for lots of new people.
There is nothing that new to report and there is a video of my comp with all the interesting stories from the week, so i thought i would just talk a little about the mission here in this email because no one really told me anything about it before i came. So the mission is lots of work. Lots of people asked me what i would be doing on my mission and I did not know how to explain it. To explain that, we, as missionaries, invite everyone to come unto Christ. The way we do it is by trying to talk with lots of people, as many as we can, and teach them the doctrine of Christ. We teach them to have faith in Jesus Christ, to repent (or in other words to make permanent changes for the better), to be baptized by the power and authority of God, to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and then to endure with all of these things until the end of our lives here on earth. At the beginning of my mission I do not think that i understood it all that well. Now that I have been here for a little bit, I know that it is by learning the doctrine of Christ we can really change our lives if we choose to do so. Sometimes it is hard, but it is always worth it. Christ is always waiting for us to come unto Him and be healed and strengthened. He will always help us and is always waiting for us. John 14:27. Jesus gives us the peace that we cannot find in the world alone. I know He gives us this peace. I know it is something that we all want and that we can all obtain. I know that we have the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints today on the earth and that we can find Him if we look. Also once we have found Him, we must then turn and help others to find Him. If we love Him, we will feed His sheep. I know my Savior lives. I know He helps me everyday. I know that we can repent and change and leave behind past mistakes and feel at peace with ourselves and with other people. I know that we can help other people to understand the teachings of Jesus and to find the peace that we so fully enjoy. I love you all and hope you can all trust your burdens to Jesus! Have a great week and just keep swimming! 🐟🐠

This week was.... not so good...

Hello everyone. So I have a couple fun stories for this week. It all started on
Monday when i got sunburned to a level of red that i had not to this point experienced in my life. Our zone got together to play sports and we played for a long time. So yeah that was fun. I also managed to burn the back of my knees in the sun, so walking was rather difficult. The day after was just new years so we slept a long time to try and recover. It worked for my companion, but for me, not very much. So yeah that is how that went. I tried many Argentine home remedies to try to fix all my problems. I made some mate and then put it in the fridge and then put that on my body with a rag that i cut from a blanket. Also a thing we tried was putting a cup of water upside down on my head and like bubbles went up through the water and apparently that was supposed to help. Also I have tried drinking various amounts of water, and i think i have peed more hours than i have slept this week. Still my head hurts pretty bad. I think it might be heat stroke, but now it is getting kind of better, so baby steps. It was pretty crazy. I spent most of my days in a members house wasting away while my comp went on splits with members to try and visit all the appointments. It did not go great. It was a rough week for everybody hahaha. So yeah. We also went to the doctor on Friday, and it was not a scary doctor place. It was actually like a good american doctor place. And there they just told me to drink more water and they gave me a cream to rub on my burns. It helped a lot. So those were the fun adventures of this week in the health department. Good stuff.

Other than that, we had interviews with president. Those were good. We had to put a bunch of goals and stuff and it was a really fun interview. President also told me that i am gonna train again next transfer, so that is going to be interesting. I guess it could be good, i just dont like to be in charge. But i guess it could be fun.

Also, we have lots of people that are progressing here. We had 7 friends in the church, so that was nice. Some of them still have to get married or learn more, but there are baptisms so that is good. Just keep swimming.

See you all in 5 months! (Whos counting tho?)
